Ways to Give
There are many ways to support our students
Educational Improvement Tax Credit:
Businesses that pay Pennsylvania Taxes can make a 100-70% tax-deductible donation through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit. This is a great way for your business to make a HUGE impact on children’s lives.
See if a matching gift program from your employer or former employer could double or triple your gift!
Volunteer or donate supplies or materials such as classroom supplies, computers, or skilled repair work. Volunteers donate over 160 hours per month in academic and administrative support.
Other Ways to Give:
- Contribute a portion of your purchases to school students by participating in programs like Box-Tops for Education or Target Take Charge of Education.
- United Way regulations prohibit donations to schools, but please consider designating your next UWSEPA donation to the Our Mother of Sorrows Soup Kitchen, donor choice #46909, or the Saint Ignatius of Loyola Food Pantry, donor choice #46978. These outreach programs are both a life-line for those in need, and important components in the schools’ culture of service.
- Contribute securities and avoid paying capital gains taxes.
Remember Our Mother of Sorrows / Saint Ignatius of Loyola in your estate or consider a planned gift that will provide you with income, a current tax-benefit, and help insure that OMS/SI will remain strong educational options for future generations.
